Amy Galbari

I would like to express my interest in seeking reelection to the Arrowhead Youth Hockey Board where I can continue to use my knowledge as a hockey mom to help the organization grow.

I am currently the Secretary for the AYHA Board of Directors and Manager/Scheduler for the Bantam A team, along with being the Scheduler for the PeeWee A team. In the past 8 hockey seasons my love for the game has grown along with helping AYHA.

When I am not a hockey mom or helping out at the rink, I am also involved at the school my children attend. I am the Athletic Director for their sports program. Over the last 2 years in this role, I have implemented a new registration platform, have grown the different sport programs, along making the programs more cohesive.

As a dedicated hockey parent with three daughters in the program—all moving into Squirts next year—and a three-year-old already on the ice, I have a long-term vision to help our program grow and prosper. I’m especially passionate about expanding and strengthening the girls' hockey program.

Professionally, I bring extensive experience in marketing, product development, and financial management. I currently serve as VP of Marketing & New Product Development at Milwaukee Tool, where I’ve spent 17 years leading successful cross functional teams and contributing to our companies record setting growth in the industry. Additionally, I help manage and oversee our family-run small businesses in the childcare and event venue space, further reinforcing my budgeting and operational background.

Beyond my professional background, I serve on the Arrowhead School Board, running unopposed for my second term of 3 years this April. I believe fostering cohesion between the school board and the hockey board can only benefit our program.

My hockey journey began in Minnesota, where I played from the mini-mite level through high school at St. Thomas Academy. I was fortunate to start varsity as a Sophomore and earned All-Conference honors Junior and Senior year. While I had opportunities to play at both the D3 and Junior level, I chose to pursue my degree at UW-Madison. I've never hung up the skates, playing intramural for UW-Madison and still play at the adult B level at Pettit.

With my diverse leadership background, strategic mindset, and passion for youth hockey, I’m eager to contribute to the board and help drive the program forward.

It is my hope that you will allow me the opportunity to serve our AYHA hockey community as your board member. My family moved into the district in December of 2022.

We spent the 2 previous years in the Elmbrook organization where I coached 8U and 6U hockey. In the 2 years I have been a part of AYHA, I have held the position of Safesport Coordinator (two terms), head coach of the 8U Mite Blue team, and assistant coach of the 10U Squirt B team. I have played hockey for 30+ years up to NCAA D3 and would like to use my experience and devotion to the game to help grow our organization, ensure our players become the best versions of themselves, and give back to the hockey community - just as parents, volunteers, and coaches have done for me throughout my life.

Thank you for your consideration!

David Slohm

Our family has been a part of the Hartland community the last eight years since moving here from Houston, Texas in 2017. Our sons Aiden (10) and Brenan (5) have been a part of the school and sports community from the beginning of their education. Aiden is a 2nd year Squirt B player, Brenan is a second year learn to play hockey program participant, and my wife Cyndi is the Team and Schedule Manager for our 2025 Squirt B season. Professionally I have worked for Enterprise Rent A Car for the last 16 years which is the what brought us to Wisconsin. Cyndi is the one of the school nurses for Lake Country School. We have been a part of the hockey, baseball, and football youth community in Hartland since Aiden was old enough to play five years ago. In this time I have had the opportunity to coach our youth football program for the last four years.

Why I would like to be a part of the Board of Directors:

As I mentioned we moved here eight years ago. With no family or friends in the area we have had to make sense and find our own place in the community. With our commitment to three different sports and our school system this has been our way of finding those friendships and community. Of all three programs their is no question that we have built our strongest sense of community and friendship through our youth hockey program. The commitment players, coaches, and parents make each year is tremendous and I would like the opportunity to be able to aid our players, coaches, and parents making every season as successful as possible.

While I have not personally played hockey as an organized sport I do believe I can add value to our program with my professional and youth coaching experience. I run a entire division of Enterprise Rent A Car here for the state of Wisconsin and have years of experience with not only running a business but also training, developing and leading young men and women. This experience along with my four years of youth football coaching has given me vast knowledge and understanding of how motivate and develop our young athletes.

I believe my skill sets here can help our hockey program sustain and improve our programs success. It is for these reasons and more that I would like the opportunity to discuss further my candidacy for our board of directors. I look forward to hearing back from you and speaking further about this opportunity to help strengthen a community of people that has helped our Slohm family find there place in our wonderful Hartland community. IT would give me great pride and pleasure to give back to our players, coaches, and parents.

My husband Michael and I have three young boys who are sharing our love for the game of hockey! Our oldest son is a Mite and our four year old twins are currently in the learn to skate program (future mini mites). I am a Registered Dietitian turned stay at home mom with a bachelor's degree in Dietetics and a Master's degree in Nutritional Sciences.

I have spent most of my life in a hockey rink! I started as a figure skater, was a part of one of the 1st girls hockey programs in the area over 20 years ago, and spent many days cheering on my 3 siblings at their hockey games. I played the majority of my youth hockey career as a goalie with the Wisconsin Wild and went on to play division 3 college hockey at St Olaf College in Minnesota.

I want to be a part of the AYHA board of directors for a few reasons. First and foremost is to give back to the hockey community the time that so many parents, coaches and volunteers put in to make my time playing youth hockey so memorable. The experiences, learning opportunities, personal development and relationships gained in hockey is truly special. I want to help continue to foster that culture in our AYHA organization. I am eager to help support the AYHA organization to continue to grow the youth hockey program and love of hockey in our community.

Lastly, I want to use the knowledge that I have gained throughout my years of playing hockey to continue to support our program and our coaches in our player skill development objectives.
